Michelle Rodriguez: Film ‘exploited’ Paul Walker comment

“Furious 7” star Michelle Rodriguez hit reverse on recently admitting her “jealousy” over co-star Paul Walker’s premature death.

The plainspoken actress apologized and claimed the filmmakers behind the upcoming documentary “The Reality of Truth” — a clip from which went viral this week — had “exploited” her emotional interview to promote their movie.

“That’s the people from the documentary using things out of context,” Rodriguez said in a video obtained by TMZ. “I had a deep moment, and I said something that was personal, and it was exploited, and I apologize about that.”

“If I knew that it was being promoted that way, I wouldn’t have been involved,” she added.

The 37-year-old “Blue Crush” alum made her astonishing remark during an on-camera anecdote about tripping on Ayahuasca, a potent hallucinogenic plant brew.

“My Ayahuasca trip made me sad that he left me here,” she told the documentary crew. “It wasn’t a sadness that he’s gone. It was more like a jealousy that he’s there first.”

“When I lost Paul, I was like… I went through about a year of just being like an animal. Like what could I do physically to just get my mind off of existentialism,” she continued. “Get my mind off of how transient life is, and how we just come here and can disappear at any moment.”

Rodriguez, who was close friends with Walker, has opened up in previous interviews about using sex and partying to cope with his death.

The documentary, which explores spirituality, psychedelics and religion, also includes interviews with David Lynch, Joel Osteen, Peter Coyote and Deepak Chopra. It debuted in February.
