There’s no doubt Gavin Rossdale is giving his ex-wife an amicable divorce.
There’s at least one sweet escape from the collapse of Gwen Stefani’s marriage to rocker Gavin Rossdale.
The former couple has reached a divorce settlement and despite not having a prenup, Rossdale isn’t walking away with half of his pop star ex’s assets, Us Magazine reported.
Instead, the Bush rocker agreed to an unequal split with Stefani keeping more, even though Rossdale could have pushed for a 50-50 split.
The 50-year-old, who allegedly caused the split by sleeping with the family’s nanny, also didn’t ask Stefani to fork over child support.
The two will split custody of their three children: Kingston,9; Zuma, 7; and Apollo,2.
The proposed settlement has yet to be approved by a California judge.
Stefani and Rossdale headed to Splitsville after 13 years of marriage. The No Doubt front woman allegedly discovered her husband’s affair with the nanny while surfing through her family’s iPad and landing on naughty texts between the lovers. She has never confirmed what led to the divorce but has teased, “it’s a really good, juicy story.”
Shelton and Stefani, both previously divorced, continue to go strong.
Since the high-profile breakup, the “Used to Love You” crooner has rebounded with fellow “Voice” judge Blake Shelton — who was also mending his broken heart after divorcing Miranda Lambert.
The 46-year-old has said the country star “saved” her from a divorce she likened to “dying.” Another marriage could be in the future for Stefani, as Shelton is rumored to be prepared to pop the question.
Still, Stefani continues to recover from the unexpected demise of her union with Rossdale.
“It’s still painful. I’m looking at the pieces and going, ‘What is happening?’” she recently confessed during an appearance on “Good Morning America.”
“There’s so many great things, but it’s still super-hard to have your family break up. What do you do after that? Here we are, we’re doing it,” she added.
